چکیده

Background: Successful implantation requires presence of a good quality embryo and receptive endometrium. Endometrial receptivity is ability endometrium to successfully attach embryo, nourish keep it alive. Sonographic findings are weighed according uterine scoring system for reproduction (USSR) or biophysical profile (UBP) by Applebaum. It has become absolute necessity evaluate uterus prior transfer, so that optimum results obtained in favourable uteri. Methods: prospective observational study which includes 100 patients undergoing intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) treatment followed frozen transfer. The Applebaum was done on the day thawing scan, using ultrasonography (USG) Doppler studies, assessing endometrial thickness, motion, layering, myometrial contractions, artery doppler flow, blood flow zone 3 – scores each parameter noted, final score calculated. Results: Receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) total predicting pregnancy cut-off- 13 with sensitivity- 90.10%, specificity- 89.5%, positive predictive value (PPV)-97.34%, negative (NPV)- 67.95. above should be incorporated into routine practice. This suggested our addition patterns. Conclusions: Applebaum’s USSR simple non-invasive method prediction rate ICSI transfer cycle. Uterine will help perform transfers only uteri postpone cancel those cycles poor demonstrated.

Frozen-thawed embryo transfer cycles

In order to reduce the chance of multiple pregnancy during in-vitro fertilisation (IVF)– embryo transfer treatment, there is an increasing trend towards transferring a lower number of embryos. Surplus good-quality embryos are then transferred in frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FET) cycles. The first pregnancy after FET was reported in 1983.1 It has been estimated that in IVF programmes in which ...

Uterine peristalsis before embryo transfer affects the chance of clinical pregnancy in fresh and frozen-thawed embryo transfer cycles.

STUDY QUESTION Does uterine peristalsis influence the chance of clinical pregnancy in an embryo transfer cycle? SUMMARY ANSWER The uterine peristaltic wave frequency before embryo transfer is inversely related to the clinical pregnancy rates in fresh and frozen-thawed embryo transfer cycles. WHAT IS KNOWN ALREADY Uterine peristalsis participates in regulating fluid migration after mock embr...

P-82: Antagonist/Letrozole Protocol in Poor Ovarian Responder Patients Undergoing Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection- Embryo transfer Cycles

Background The optimal stimulation protocol for poor responder patients is a therapeutic challenge. GnRH antagonist protocol has been proposed as a potentially proper option for poor responders. Nevertheless, there is no significant difference in terms of clinical pregnancy and cancellation rates be tween the GnRH antagonist and agonist cycles. Therefore, this subset of patients might be the be...

No differences in outcome after intracytoplasmic sperm injection with fresh or with frozen-thawed epididymal spermatozoa.

This retrospective consecutive case series aimed at comparing the results of intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) with fresh and with frozen-thawed epididymal spermatozoa obtained after microsurgical epididymal sperm aspiration (MESA) in 162 couples. These couples were suffering from infertility because of congenital bilateral absence of the vas deferens (n = 109), failed microsurgical rever...

A rare and interesting case of heterotopic cervical pregnancy after intracytoplasmic sperm injection and embryo transfer

The wide use of assisted reproductive technologies has contributed to the increased risk of ectopic and subsequently heterotopic pregnancy (HP) rate. Cervical ectopic pregnancy is a very rare and life-threatening form of ectopic pregnancy that can also present as HP. We are describing here a case of 34-year-old woman who presented with bleeding heterotopic cervical pregnancy (HCP). The concomit...
